What a Fanvue auto reply is for
Fans write at every hour, and most of them write when you are asleep, filming or simply offline. A Fanvue auto reply covers those hours so nobody waits all night for an answer. The question is what kind of reply he gets. A fixed "I'll be back soon" keeps the inbox polite, but it does not keep the fan. A reply that picks up what he said, asks him something back and moves the conversation forward is what turns a message into a relationship, and often into a sale.
There are two very different tools behind the words "auto reply": canned messages that fire on a trigger, and an AI chatter that writes each answer for the fan in front of it. This page explains the difference and how FanBotify does the second.
Canned auto-replies vs an AI that answers
| Canned auto-reply | FanBotify AI auto reply | |
|---|---|---|
| What the fan receives | The same text everyone gets | An answer to what he actually wrote |
| Follow-up questions | None: the conversation stops | Keeps the chat going, in your voice |
| Memory | None | Remembers each fan in later chats |
| Languages | One fixed text | Replies in the fan's language, among the ones you chose |
| Selling | A link or a fixed PPV for everyone | PPV bundles from your Vault, priced for each fan |
| Safety | Nothing to check | Every message checked before it is sent |
| Hours covered | 24/7, but only one message | 24/7, the whole conversation |
Fans usually notice a canned message quickly, and many stop writing once they do. An AI reply reads like a person who listened, which is the whole point of private messages on Fanvue.
How FanBotify answers every fan
- It reads the conversation and the fan's profile. What he said today, what he told you last week, what he already bought, and where he stands: new fan, follower, subscriber, past buyer or expired.
- It writes in your voice. You give it a persona, your writing style, your languages, your hard limits and a few example messages you wrote. It answers like you, not like a help desk.
- It decides whether to sell. Sometimes the right reply is just a reply. When the moment is right, it offers the next bundle from your tiers at a price set for that fan.
- It checks the message before sending. Your limits and the platform rules are checked on every reply: no off-platform payments, no meetups, no custom promised before you confirm payment.
- It hands off when it should. Refunds, upset fans, large payments and anything you marked "needs approval" go to you, with an alert.
Your voice, not a template
The difference between an auto reply that works and one that hurts the account is voice. FanBotify does not send lines from a shared library. It writes from what you taught it: how you open a chat, how you tease, which words you never use, which topics are off limits. Two creators using FanBotify will not sound alike, because they did not teach it the same things. For why copied scripts stop working, read Fanvue chatting scripts.
Speed without the robotic feel
Interest fades fast in private messages: a fan who gets an answer while he is still in the app is much more likely to keep talking than one who gets it the next morning. FanBotify replies while the fan is there, and its replies are written for him, so speed does not cost you the personal feel. More on this in how reply time affects Fanvue sales.
When the auto reply should not sell
A good chatter knows when to stop selling, and so does FanBotify. It never sells to a fan who shows signs of distress, and if a fan may be a minor it stops and alerts you. A fan you muted or marked as a timewaster is left alone. Crisis or self-harm messages and possible minors are always handed to a human: that hand-off cannot be turned off. You stay in control
- Two reply modes: automatic replies, or drafts you approve before they are sent. Many creators start with drafts for a few days.
- Pause in one click: the AI stops; you reply yourself whenever you like.
- Nothing goes live before you launch: set up your persona, catalog and prices first, at your pace.
- Alerts: hand-offs, custom requests, purchases and a daily summary on Telegram or email and in the dashboard.
Beyond replies: the automations around them
Replying is half of the job; the other half is writing first at the right moment. On the Creator plan and up, FanBotify also welcomes new fans within a minute, sends one follow-up on a paid message he did not open, writes to a subscriber before his subscription ends when he turns auto-renew off, and posts tip goals at peak hours. These are covered in detail on the Fanvue DM automation page.
Common messages and how the AI handles them
| The fan writes | A canned auto-reply sends | FanBotify does |
|---|---|---|
| "Hey, just subscribed" | The standard welcome text | Thanks him in your voice and asks him something about himself |
| A question about your day | "I'll reply soon" | Answers it in character, within your limits, and keeps the chat going |
| "Do you have anything more?" | A link or nothing | Offers the next bundle he does not own, at a price set for him |
| A custom request | Nothing useful | Quotes from your price list and alerts you to approve it |
| "Can we meet?" | Nothing, or the wrong thing | Declines politely and keeps the chat on Fanvue |
| A refund complaint | The same generic text | Hands the chat to you with an alert |
Setting up your Fanvue auto reply
Setup is done once, at your pace. Sign in with Fanvue, write a short persona (who you are in chat and how you write), paste a few messages you wrote yourself, list your hard limits and choose your languages. Then build your catalog: bundles from your Vault in tiers, by hand or with "Sort with AI", which builds the bundles and suggests prices. Set a base price per tier and the range the AI may move inside for each fan. Pick automatic replies or drafts, and launch. Most of the quality of the replies comes from the example messages: real messages you wrote teach the AI your voice better than any description. The step-by-step version is in how to set up an AI chatter on Fanvue.
Connected the official way
FanBotify connects through the official Fanvue Developer API: you sign in with Fanvue and authorize the app. It never sees your Fanvue password, and you can disconnect it at any time. It is an independent app, not affiliated with Fanvue.
What a Fanvue auto reply costs with FanBotify
Starter is $19 a month (600 messages), Creator $49 a month with the first month free (2,500 messages and the automations), and Agency $129 a month for 3 creators (6,000 messages shared). Every plan adds 25% of the paid messages the AI sells, never on tips, subscriptions or your own sales. If the agent sells less than the plan costs in your first 30 paid days, the plan is refunded (conditions in the terms). See the plans, or read more about the Fanvue AI chatter.
