Two ways to pay for a Chatvue alternative
The biggest difference is how you pay. Chatvue's site describes a free account with pay-as-you-go AI credits: you pay for the AI as you use it. FanBotify charges a monthly plan plus 25% of the paid messages the AI sells, and nothing on tips, subscriptions or your own sales. Credits suit creators who want to control spending use by use. A plan plus a share of sales suits creators who prefer the cost to follow what the bot actually sells. FanBotify also refunds the plan if the agent sells less than the plan costs in the first 30 paid days (conditions in the terms).
Why creators look for a Chatvue alternative
- Storyline selling. FanBotify can sell a shoot as a storyline: the same shoot, tier after tier, so each purchase feels like the next chapter. Its catalog holds up to 6 tiers of 4 to 60 items, sold as bundles of 4 to 6, and "Sort with AI" builds them from your Vault.
- Safety stops. FanBotify checks every message before sending, never sells to fans in distress and stops and alerts you if a fan may be a minor.
- Telegram and email alerts for hand-offs, custom requests, purchases and a daily summary.
- Automations on Creator and up: a welcome within a minute, one follow-up on unopened PPV, a win-back message when auto-renew is turned off, tip goals at peak hours.
- Paying mainly when the bot sells, rather than buying credits up front.
What both do
According to Chatvue's site, both tools can reply on their own, both mention per-fan pricing and both keep a memory of each fan. Both are built for Fanvue. If those are the features you care about most, the decision comes down to how you pay, how you want offers structured, and the safety and alert features above.
When to stay with Chatvue
- You prefer paying per AI use with pay-as-you-go credits.
- You want a desktop app: Chatvue's site lists web and macOS apps.
- You want an AI that only suggests replies, as one of its modes (FanBotify's equivalent is drafts mode).
- You manage a large roster in one inbox: its site advertises "50 creators. One inbox." FanBotify's Agency plan covers 3 creators with 5 team seats, and Enterprise goes beyond.
How FanBotify works for a creator switching
- Connect: sign in with Fanvue through the official Developer API. FanBotify never sees your password.
- Teach your voice: persona, writing style, languages, hard limits and a few messages you wrote.
- Build your catalog: tiers and bundles from your Vault, by hand or with "Sort with AI".
- Set prices: a base price per tier and the bounds for per-fan pricing (lowest 0.8x to 1.0x, highest 1.2x to 2.0x).
- Choose a mode and launch: automatic replies or drafts for approval. Nothing goes live before you launch.
Questions to answer before switching
- Do you want your cost to follow AI usage or sales? Credits follow usage; FanBotify's share follows what the bot sells.
- Do you sell shoots as a progression? If so, storyline mode is worth testing.
- Who on your team needs alerts, and where: Telegram, email or the dashboard?
- Do you need a desktop app, or is a browser dashboard enough?
What FanBotify adds around the chat
- Custom requests: quoted from your own price list; you approve each one, and nothing is promised before you confirm payment.
- AI Prospection: personal DMs proposed to segments (online with no purchase yet, unopened paid message, auto-renew off, quiet for 30 days), sent in one click. 150 a month on Creator, 400 on Agency.
- Hand-offs: refunds, upset fans, large payments and approval requests come to you; crisis messages and possible minors always do.
- Reporting: the dashboard shows what the bot itself sold, paid messages confirmed by Fanvue, apart from your own sales.
For agencies
FanBotify's Agency plan puts 3 creators in one workspace with 5 team seats, each with an isolated bot, voice, limits, catalog and fan memory. Hand-offs send crisis messages and possible minors (always), refunds, upset fans, large payments and approval requests to the team. See Fanvue chatbot for agencies.
Try before you decide
The fairest test is your own account. Set FanBotify up in drafts mode for a few days, read what it would send to your fans, and compare it with what you have today. Nothing goes live before you launch, and Creator's first month is free.
